Tending to our own inner wellbeing is essential to our physical, emotional and spiritual health.
I am pleased to offer compassionate presence and support for those who are:
My goals and philosophy of care are to help people take charge of their living. no matter what time we have available to us, and to do so in ways that can bring empowerment and healing.
In my time at St. Paul's Hospital, I worked for a number of years in the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) and prior to that, I spent some time at the North Shore Hospice helping with end-of-life challenges. I additionally have several years experience supporting patients and clients receiving care through the BC Provincial Eating Disorders Program.
CASC Certified (Canadian Association for Spiritual Care), I have a Masters in Pastoral Studies as well as CPE (Clinical Pastoral Education) training to Advanced Level.
Journeying with people from all walks of life and belief systems, whether adhering to a particular faith tradition, religious following or none at all, I offer support to all.
Additionally, I am available to support those who have experienced religious or spiritual trauma and are wanting to find new ways to reconnect with their beliefs and spiritual values. As a clergy-abuse victim-survivor myself, it is my life passion that all who have suffered abuse of any kind find the healing and peace we all deserve.
Sometimes we just need to find a compassionate professional who can help us explore our fears, anxieties and hopes and who can help us address some of those bigger questions we all have about life and meaning.
I offer presence, support and accompaniment in the client's own home or place of residence (where clients are confined to home-rest or bed), from my North Vancouver office for in-person sessions, or via Skype.
I also support family members coping with grief and loss as they prepare for the death of a loved one.
At home, I am a mother of two and a grandmother of four young ones. I'm also an avid writer and planning to be a published author.
